The head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Christopher Wray stated that today the United States is receiving a record number of threats.
According to the law enforcement agency, most of the threats are aimed at undermining state security.
Ray noted: “It is difficult to imagine in what other period of time such an unstable situation was observed,” as reported by RIA Novosti, citing the Western press.
The official declined to specify what, in his opinion, threatens the United States.
Ray emphasized that the FBI currently needs help from the private sector.
Thus, according to the law enforcement officer, many critically important structures in the United States are regularly subjected to cyber attacks.
The FBI chief added: “There are external threats that are being implemented using artificial intelligence.”
Earlier, Ray pointed out the fact that the FBI is concerned about terrorists' intentions to carry out sabotage on US soil.
