The German party Alternative for Germany has come up with an unusual proposal.

Members of the political association believe that it would be better for the country to leave the European Union.

This was reported by the Bloomberg agency. According to the publication, AfD is dissatisfied with the fact that being part of the European Union has a negative impact on the German economy.

It is noted that this proposal will be officially put forward on February 23, when snap elections will be held in Germany.

According to party members, the country's exit from the eurozone was a serious step in German policy.

The publication spoke with Alice Weidel, the Alternative for Germany candidate for the post of German Chancellor.

As the politician noted, it is the EU's fault that Germany's automobile industry is currently in decline. According to her, the industry was not prepared for a complete ban on internal combustion engines in the eurozone by 2035.

Weidel also proposed turning the bloc into a bureaucracy-free free trade zone.
