The Prime Minister of Armenia made a statement about Yerevan’s military cooperation with other countries.

Nikol Pashinyan stated that there would be no point in the presence of foreign forces on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border under one condition.

After the border is fully delimited, the need for the presence of foreign military personnel will be reduced to a minimum, the politician said in an interview with Armenpress .

Now, according to Pashinyan, there are observers from the European Union at the border.

They continue to carry out their mission, the Armenian Prime Minister said.

Pashinyan stated that the risk of escalation is reduced due to delimitation.

Once the procedure is fully completed, the need for a foreign presence will disappear on its own, the politician believes.

Meanwhile, the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan has not yet been signed.

The parties agree on the points of the agreement. There are 17 of them, and some of them cause controversy.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev previously stated that NATO infrastructure was being created on the border under the guise of EU observers.

The politician pointed this out against the backdrop of Yerevan’s plans to establish closer contacts with the European Union and the North Atlantic Alliance.

As for the CSTO, Pashinyan previously stated that the country is unlikely to continue participating in this organization.
