Coordination of trips abroad may become mandatory for deputies in Russia.
The State Duma may discuss a bill that would require deputies to coordinate trips abroad.
The head of the lower house of parliament's committee on security and anti-corruption, Vasily Piskarev, commented on this initiative in a Telegram channel.
According to him, this proposal was made by a group of senators and deputies on June 25.
Piskarev wrote that at a meeting of the State Duma Council they will discuss a bill on the early termination of the powers of one of the deputies due to unauthorized travel abroad.
He wrote that the issue of security, including personal responsibility, concerns every deputy.
Piskarev reported that no one in the State Duma doubts the reasons for which this initiative was proposed.
For now, approval of foreign business trips is carried out by the Duma Council together with the leadership of the lower house.
Russia previously expanded sanctions against Canada in retaliation.
