The Federation Council approved a new bill concerning Russian parliamentarians and senators.
Now parliamentarians will have to coordinate their travel abroad.
RIA Novosti reports this with reference to information contained in the amendments to the law “On the status of a senator of the Russian Federation and the status of a deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.”
The new restrictions apply to two categories of the country's officials:
Representatives of the State Duma and the Federation Council must coordinate each of their exits from Russia. The restriction does not apply only to business trips.
If the departure of an official is deemed unauthorized, the powers of the senator or deputy will be terminated early.
According to the authors of this initiative, it is implied that preference should be given to official trips.
Earlier it was reported that the Federation Council approved a law on the payment of two pensions to disabled children from the families of deceased SVO participants.
