How to normalize your lifestyle

The first step to order in your life is to make a conscious decision.

Understand what motivates you to make a change in your life other than happy girls on social media.

Are you ready to give up habits that you have formed over the years? Are you ready to reconsider your beliefs? If so, here are my recommendations.

Clinical psychologist Iolanta Voronova told how to normalize your lifestyle.

1. Set clear goals. Determine what exactly you want to change in your life and why it is important to you. Goals should be specific, measurable and achievable.

It is advisable to formulate goals not as a process, but as a result. For example, not "I want to lose weight", but "I lost 15 kg in six months without exhausting myself with diets, and now I feel better: shortness of breath is gone, I have become more active, I like my reflection in the mirror, I finally bought That Very Dress".

2. Create an action plan. Develop an action plan that will help you gradually introduce new habits and get rid of old ones. Break your goals into small steps and act consistently.

For example, first get used to a five-minute warm-up in the morning after a shower, then increase the training time to 10 minutes and exercise to dance videos on YouTube, and so on.

3. Examine your habits. Conduct self-analysis and determine which habits are preventing you from achieving the results you want. Consider why these habits arose and work on the cause. For example, if you overeat at dinner, you are most likely feeling hungry throughout the day because you skip breakfast or lunch.

You don't need to cut back on dinner, but distribute your meals evenly throughout the day. If you eat a lot of sweets, you don't need to give up all the goodies at once, but check when you feel like eating a chocolate bar. If it's related to stress, you first need to learn to work with stress and melancholy, and eating will follow.

4. Clear the clutter. Get rid of anything that is holding you back from moving forward. This could be physical clutter, negative thoughts, or negative relationships.

Do you keep jeans that are too small for you and get upset every time you wear them? Throw them away. Do you feel exhausted, wrung out, and tired after meeting a friend? Reduce the time you spend communicating.

Are you tired of playing computer games as if you were unloading train cars? Try to find a more eco-friendly way to relax.

5. Support from your environment. Discuss your plans with your loved ones or seek help from a professional psychologist/psychotherapist - they will give you the support you need until you yourself believe that you can achieve the result.

6. Be patient. Changes don't happen overnight, they take time. Be patient with yourself and keep moving forward even if you fail.

Earlier, psychologists told what kind of people most people are drawn to.
