An expert spoke about a fraudulent scheme called Evil twin.
Its essence lies in the fact that in a public place a hacker creates his own Internet distribution point with a name similar to the official name of a Wi-Fi distribution point.
After this, a hacker attack occurs on the official Internet distribution point so that users can only connect to a fictitious one. After logging in, the hacker gains access to all user data.
As Gataullin emphasized, the most dangerous thing in this scheme is the automatic connection via Wi-Fi to known networks. That is why the expert recommends abandoning this function and disabling it on your smartphone.
