Software security company Kaspersky Lab has been hit with US sanctions.
The restraining orders prohibit the sale of the entity's products in the United States.
On this matter, Kaspersky Lab has expressed its opinion as follows: “As of July 20, the distribution of our products in the USA will cease,” as reported by Anti-malware .
However, the company says it will give American users six months of free use of its products.
Kaspersky Lab said the move was a "farewell gift" to its US customers.
The legal entity noted that it has always strived to carry out its activities independently, transparently and professionally.
The company expressed regret over the fact that Western users now have "one less choice in protecting themselves from online threats."
Washington, in turn, has previously indicated that Russian business threatens US national security.
