Roskomnadzor's Central Monitoring and Response Center specialists announced that a major failure in the operation of Telegram and Whatsapp* was recorded.
It is reported that the above-described problem is of a large-scale nature.
Roskomnadzor experts emphasized: “In Russia, these messengers work intermittently and incorrectly,” as reported by RIA Novosti .
At present, specialists are monitoring the situation in order to determine the cause of the failure.
Technical problem
It is reported that some users are unable to send messages in the Telegram application.
In addition, the "user" dialogues may not be updated, so it is impossible to track whether a particular message was sent.
The WhatsApp* service, in turn, commented on the current situation.
It is indicated that the application demonstrates a connection to the network, there is no loading of dialogs, messages are not sent to recipients.
To this day, it remains unclear what exactly caused the above technical problems.
