A team of researchers trained a model to identify patterns that could indicate a high risk of health problems or death.
When tested, the model predicted the likelihood of death within a decade, and was correct 78% of the time.
The system is said to be able to predict heart attacks and heart rhythm problems.
The researchers plan to roll it out across the NHS within the next five years.
Trials involving real patients are planned and are expected to begin by mid-2025.
