Scientists at the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne have reported that a Swiss brain chip has significantly surpassed the capabilities of a chip from the company Neuralink.

The founder of Neuralink is American billionaire Elon Musk.

Experts emphasized that their innovation significantly surpassed Musk’s device, as reported by the 3dnews portal.

It is emphasized that the chip from Neuralink looks outdated compared to the Swiss device.

However, Elon Musk's brain implant is already helping people, while the Lausanne scientists' chip was designed only recently.

It is stated that the area of the Swiss device is only 8 square millimetres.

The Lausanne scientists' probe is not attached to the nervous tissue, like the Neuralink chip, but to the surface of the cerebral cortex, which does not interfere with the accuracy of its work.

According to the researchers, it is this method of implanting the innovation that ensures its higher quality and technological operation.
