Blogger Lerchek and her ex-husband were detained immediately after interrogation
New details have become known about the latest criminal case involving blogger Lerchek and her ex-husband.
The suspects were interrogated the day before, after which Valeria Chekalina and Artem were detained.
RIA Novosti reports this, citing information confirmed by law enforcement agencies.
According to the source, Artem Chekalin was interrogated on Wednesday and detained. His ex-wife Valeria is also in custody.
New accusation against Chekalins
The day before, information appeared that blogger Lerchek and her ex-husband had been charged with new charges.
Valeria and Artem are suspected of illegally transferring funds in foreign currency that were received by a non-resident.
Moreover, the Chekalin couple had previously become defendants in two criminal cases.
According to investigators, the blogger and her ex-husband failed to pay taxes totaling 311 million rubles, using a simplified taxation system.
The second criminal case concerned money laundering on an especially large scale. As investigators found out, the Chekalins illegally legalized about 150 million rubles by buying foreign currency with it.
It is noted that at the end of December last year, the spouses paid off their debts to the state, and in May of this year they divorced.
