An initiative to increase fines for debt collectors has been submitted to the State Duma.

In particular, the agency proposed to impose large fines on those who use this name without justification.

RIA Novosti reports this with reference to the initiative posted in the Duma database.

The bill specifies what collectors can be fined for. In particular, if a legal entity calls itself a professional collection agency without having legal grounds for doing so, it may be subject to a fine.

Officials will have to pay from 25 to 50 thousand rubles, and legal entities - from 100 to 300 thousand.

It is proposed to impose higher fines for them: from 50 to 500 thousand rubles for individuals, from 100 thousand to 1 million for officials, and from 1 to 2 million with disqualification for a year for legal entities.

Earlier it was reported how debts will be demanded from Russians from February 1.
