A special support program will be created for regions of Russia with low birth rates
Vladimir Putin announced changes that will affect some regions of Russia.
Those areas where the birth rate is below average will receive support from the state.
The head of state announced such measures during a direct line, which was combined with a press conference, RIA Novosti reports.
As Vladimir Putin noted, at the moment there are serious problems with the birth rate in approximately 35 regions of the country. In these territories, which the head of state did not name, the birth rate is below the established coefficient of 1.41.
In this regard, the problem will be addressed by creating a special support program.
The Russian President stressed that these measures are currently being developed. According to preliminary information, after their introduction, the programs will operate for several years.
It is planned to spend about 75 billion rubles on the implementation of measures to support the birth.
