The head of Novorossiysk, Andrei Kravchenko, announced that a state of emergency had been introduced in the city.
The cause given was the occurrence of large landscape fires.
On his official Telegram channel, Kravchenko wrote: “46 firefighters and 12 units of special equipment are fighting the elements.”
In addition, as the mayor points out, “45 volunteer fire brigades and volunteers” and motorcycle equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
The city authorities emphasize that additional fire brigades are arriving from Anapa and Gelendzhik.
In particular, we are talking about a fire that engulfed the territory near the village of Dyurso in Krasnodar Krai.
It is preliminary reported that the area of the disaster has reached 22 hectares, and nearby recreation centers are being evacuated.
To date, 200 people have been evacuated, including 130 children who were taken out of the danger zone.
