Alexander Khinshtein shared details of his work in his new position.
The acting governor of the Kursk region met with media representatives and told how local officials responded to his offer to repent.
“There is not a single official who has repented,” 46TV quotes the politician as saying.
At the same time, Khinshtein admitted that officials “probably need to prepare themselves and choose their words.”
The acting governor emphasized that for him there will be no “untouchables” in the region entrusted to him.
The politician stated from the very beginning that he would restore order in the region and would even personally hand over the materials to the relevant authorities if he saw evidence of crimes.
At the same time, Khinshtein pointed out that the guilty have an option to avoid prison punishment. To do this, they will have to go to the SVO.
Recently, the acting governor of the Kursk region addressed local government officials.
He suggested that those who feel they have committed some sins repent.
Khinshtein added that he would have no problem accepting the resignation of officials who believe that they will not be able to work effectively.
The politician said that he was introducing a new format of work and a crisis management system.
