Having illnesses is not a reason to give up sweets.
But if you have cardiovascular diseases, you can’t eat just any dessert.
Therapist and nutritionist Ekaterina Burlyaeva told aif.ru that dried apricots are a healthy sweet for heart patients.
The value of dried apricots lies in their potassium content. This microelement is important for people suffering from heart and vascular diseases.
100 g of dried apricots contain about 60–70% of the daily requirement of potassium.
In addition, dried fruit contains dietary fiber, which reduces the level of “bad” cholesterol in the blood.
The nutritionist recommends dried apricots as an alternative to the advertised breads, whose fiber content ranges from 5 to 18 g. Dried apricots have much more of it.
But the doctor emphasized that even in this case, it is necessary to observe moderation. You cannot abuse dried apricots, because it is a high-calorie product.
The daily portion of dried apricots should not exceed 50–70 g.
