It has become known about the ban that the flagship airline Emirates has introduced in relation to its flights.
The air carrier has banned the carriage of pagers and radios on planes.
RIA Novosti reported this with reference to a statement distributed by the airline’s press service.
It is specified that the ban applies not only to gadgets that passengers take with them into the aircraft cabin, but also to baggage that they check into the baggage compartment.
As Emirates clarified, the ban primarily concerns flights arriving or departing from Dubai. Local police intend to confiscate all items related to this category.
Let us recall that on September 17 and 18, a mass detonation of pagers occurred in Lebanon. The explosion of the devices is associated with the fact that the Lebanese movement Hezbollah uses them as their main means of communication.
The incident claimed the lives of 37 people, and more than 3,000 were injured as a result of the explosions, including children.
