This chemical compound must be at least 25% of the repellent if we are talking about protection against mosquitoes.
The product will help against horseflies if the DEET content is higher than 30%.
There are other options, such as repellents containing Acrepe or IR 3535 in similar concentrations to DEET.
The product is applied in a thin, even layer. Gaps should be avoided, otherwise insects will definitely take advantage of them.
Mosquitoes are repelled by the aroma of lemon eucalyptus oil. But this is a rather expensive option, since the process of obtaining the oil is not simple.
