The task of teachers at school is not only to assess children's knowledge, but also to educate them.

Earlier, the head of the Human Rights Council, Valery Fadeyev, spoke about an initiative that could return the system of assessing student behavior to schools.

Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Gennady Onishchenko agreed with this initiative at a press conference in Moscow dedicated to the biological security of the EAEU countries.

I can be an excellent student in all subjects, but behave antisocially, TASS agency quotes the expert as saying.

Considering the situation outlined above, the RAS academician emphasized that brilliant knowledge alone is not enough.

According to Onishchenko, schools should educate a free personality. However, this does not mean that a child is free to do whatever he wants.

This is why the initiative to introduce behavioral assessments should help maintain discipline in classrooms.

At the same time, the Minister of Education admitted that this initiative could be approved if systems for assessing student behavior are carefully developed.
