FPC passengers will be able to transport pets without buying out all the seats in the compartment
It has become known about the innovations that the subsidiary of Russian Railways will resort to in the coming year.
The Federal Passenger Company will allow the transportation of pets without the requirement to buy out all the seats in the compartment.
The carrier's deputy general director, Stanislav Zotin, spoke about the innovation, RIA Novosti reports.
We are not talking about all the seats on the train, but only about the luxury carriage, the price of which already includes:
- meals (breakfast or dinner), as well as tea and water;
- bed sheets;
- slippers;
- travel kit;
- newspapers and magazines.
Previously, according to the FPC rules, animals could be transported in such carriages only if all seats in the compartment were purchased.
However, from January 1, 2025, the rules will change, and it will no longer be necessary to buy all the seats for transporting a pet.
However, the relaxation applies only to small-sized animals – those that fit in a carrying bag.
Owners of large dogs will still have to buy all the tickets in order to travel with their animal in a premium compartment.
