Police warn that fraudsters are deceiving Russians by sending out fake medical records.

Fraudsters have begun to remotely connect to gadgets in order to obtain personal data of Russians.

They send extracts from medical records with hacker software, as reported in the Telegram channel Vestnik Cyberpolice of Russia.

Fraudsters distribute malware disguised as medical files.

At the same time, a malicious file, a spy agent, is hiddenly installed.

This software allows scammers to remotely control the device.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs warned that in this way cybercriminals could gain access to users’ personal data.

Spyware is capable of executing hackers' commands on the victim's device.

Russians are urged not to open suspicious files and not to provide personal information to unknown persons.
