The Department of Health of Yugra has released information that more than 90 patients at the Surgut cardiology center were poisoned by food.
It is indicated that the citizens showed signs of acute intestinal infection.
In its official Telegram channel, the Department of Health writes: “94 patients fell ill, 68 of whom were relocated to the infectious diseases hospital of the Surgut District Hospital.”
At the moment, all details and circumstances of the incident are being established.
It is emphasized that, as the department explained, the victims were poisoned by food products.
Authorized bodies are working to identify the source of the poor-quality products; an inspection of the cardiology center’s food unit is being conducted.
It is also reported that planned hospitalization at the medical facility where the emergency occurred has been suspended.
The Department of Health also added that the cardiology center intends to return to work within two to three days.
