Thanks to the experience of doctors, it is possible to help such people.
Medical specialists helped a woman with a rare disease, Takayasu's arteritis, become a mother. The Moscow Agency reports details with reference to the press service of the regional Ministry of Health and senior researcher Ketevan Akhvlediani.
It is noted that a pregnant patient with a previously diagnosed disease associated with severe narrowing of large arteries was admitted to the Academician Krasnopolsky Moscow Regional Research Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
According to the press service, the woman also suffered a stroke in the past, as well as two miscarriages.
They also noted that when the woman was admitted to hospital, her blood vessels were maximally constricted. Lack of assistance could have led to the loss of the child and the death of the mother.
According to Akhvlediani, thanks to the team of doctors, the disease was put into remission.
It is added that the woman gave birth to a healthy child. She and the baby have already been discharged.
