The head of the VTsIOM foundation entered into a polemic with a deputy during the Eastern Economic Forum.

The subject of the dispute was young Russian women, who are now primarily trying to build a career rather than start a family.

The words of the general director of the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion Foundation, Konstantin Abramov, are quoted by the RBC agency.

Abramov cited the Rosmolodezh agency, whose members are involved in youth policy, as a comparison. According to him, the organization has many beautiful young girls, most of whom do not have families.

Without a family, without children, but with dogs at work - this is how the head of VTsIOM described young careerists.

Nina Ostanina, Chair of the State Duma Committee on Family Protection, Fatherhood, Motherhood and Childhood, expressed her disagreement with Abramova’s position.

She reminded that childbearing is a mutual process, and a girl should consult not with her pet, but with her young man.
