Russian swimmer not interviewed after winning World Championships in Budapest

The Russian swimmer Miron Lifintsev, who won the World Championships, was not given the traditional interview.

The athlete, who competes in a neutral status, was left without an interview after winning the World Championships in Budapest.

The International Aquatics Federation said that Russians are still not allowed to be in the mixed zone at the World Championships, reports Match TV .

Lifintsev won the 100m backstroke on December 11, setting a new world junior record of 48.76 seconds.

On the same day, the Russian swimmer was able to win the combined relay.

According to the new rules, the requirements for admitting Russian athletes to competitions have been adjusted since November 20.

However, athletes from the Russian Federation are still not allowed to be in the mixed zone, communicate with the press, or participate in media events.
