Over the past 6 months, about 50,000 fires have broken out in residential buildings in Russia. Details are reported by TASS , citing the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry and the head of the department, Alexander Kurenkov.
It is noted that during the specified time, the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees extinguished 49,592 fires in residential buildings.
In addition, the number of people rescued was 12,725. Many people were injured - 3,496 people.
According to Kurenkov, 3,792 people died as a result of the fires. Among them were 198 children.
He noted that the average number of fires per day is 900.
It is added that in addition to fires, a considerable number of incidents occur on the water. Since June 1, 2024, about 30 cases of deaths have occurred in water bodies every day.
