A State Duma deputy has come up with a proposal that should encourage citizens to help find criminals.
Sultan Khamzaev proposed introducing a cash reward for any useful information about criminals involved in drug trafficking.
The State Duma deputy voiced his proposal in a comment to RIA Novosti .
According to Khamzaev, the conscientiousness of ordinary citizens should be encouraged materially.
In particular, the deputy proposed introducing the following reward system. People who help law enforcement identify drug dealers or liquidate a drug den deserve a material reward of 10 to 50 thousand rubles.
Khamzaev believes that such measures will encourage citizens to cooperate more willingly with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and increase the effectiveness of measures aimed at combating drug crime.
Earlier it was reported that an actor from the TV series "Sklifosovsky" was detained in Moscow with drugs.
