The State Duma may ban smoking while walking
The State Duma may resort to restrictions that will affect smokers.
Parliamentarians intend to ban smoking while walking.
RIA Novosti reports this with reference to the deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Sports, Amir Khamitov from the New People faction, who sent a corresponding request to the Russian Ministry of Health.
According to the parliamentarian, people who smoke while walking interfere with the cleanliness of cities and make them less pleasant to live in than they could be.
This is why a ban on smoking while walking will help clean up the air in cities and, according to Khamitov, will help reduce the number of young people who smoke.
As the parliamentarian recalled, smoking is one of the most common bad habits, including among Russian youth.
