Sergei Melikov raised a pressing issue concerning gas and security in the private sector.
The head of Dagestan stated that illegal taps into gas pipelines result not only in fines and criminal liability, but also in tragedies resulting in loss of life.
In his Telegram channel, Melikov emphasized that the problem of illegal connections to gas pipelines, or so-called “cuts,” is still relevant for the region.
The politician noted that the greed and short-sightedness of some people leads to explosions and fires.
The head of the republic raised this issue after another raid in the suburbs of Makhachkala.
Melikov noted that people continue to illegally make “cuts” into gas pipelines and use materials that are unsuitable for this: “Citizens “cut” into a gas pipe and stretched a rubber (!!!) hose along houses where people are located.”
The head of the region called on people to “come to their senses” and not endanger themselves and others.
