An unpleasant event or punishment changes the cat's behavior. Is it angry at the owner? Is it going to take revenge on him?

These questions are asked by all owners who see how their pet looks at them with disapproval or begins to avoid communication altogether.

There are many myths surrounding cat behavior. One of them concerns their ability to react with resentment to certain human actions.

Many people believe that cats are capable of experiencing a wide range of emotions.

In fact, this is not entirely true. Yes, pets can experience fear, anxiety, irritation, mistrust, satisfaction.

But resentment is considered a more complex emotion that cats do not experience.

Most breeds are not known for their vindictive nature and easily forgive actions that could cause discomfort.

But at the same time, cats are able to associate a person with a negative experience. If something serious happened, the pet may avoid such a person.

However, trust and affection eventually prevail and over time the negative emotions go away.

They are replaced by positive ones, unless, of course, the person does something else.
