Many reptile lovers wonder whether it is possible to keep several animals of different species together.
Let's figure out which cold-blooded pets will enjoy living next to other reptiles.
Common problems
Most often, reptile owners encounter the problem already at the stage of trying to add another animal to a resident already living in the terrarium.

This is because each reptile requires free space. Therefore, a terrarium for several animals should be spacious enough.
It is also necessary to take into account that tropical and desert species require completely different conditions.
What species can be kept together?
Therefore, the following cannot be kept together:
- individuals of aggressive and non-aggressive species;
- too big and too small animals;
- some individuals of the same species and the same sex.
For example, lizards and snakes coexist well together if they are of the opposite sex. However, this is fraught with the appearance of unwanted offspring in some cases.
Leopard geckos and bearded dragons also get along well together. Some species of aquatic turtles also feel good together, as do several tree frogs together.
