Symptoms of allergic bronchitis
The following symptoms indicate that your dog has lung problems:
- cough;
- dyspnea;
- rapid and shallow breathing;
- lethargy and intolerance to physical activity;
- gagging.
It is this last symptom, coupled with shortness of breath, that may indicate that the dog is suffering from allergic bronchitis.
It is noted that animals of both sexes, most often older animals, can suffer from this disease.
Allergic bronchitis most often affects toy breeds of dogs, such as cocker spaniels.
If allergic bronchitis is suspected, it is necessary to show the dog to the veterinarian, since other animal diseases such as tracheal collapse, heart failure or lungworms have similar symptoms.
