In the house you can keep not only the usual cats, dogs, turtles, birds or fish.
Nowadays, flying dogs and foxes, large species of bats, have been added to the list of unusual pets.
We'll tell you what you need to know before getting such a pet.

Differences
These pets differ from all the bats we are accustomed to:
- quite large in size (wingspan can reach 1 m);
- a more pleasant-looking muzzle, reminiscent of a fox;
- an exclusively vegetarian diet.
Unlike their wild counterparts, flying foxes and dogs are not blind, but rely on their sight and sense of smell.
What you need to know
Despite their fairly large size, bats feel comfortable in a private house or spacious apartment.
It is important to provide the animal with peace during the day, since it is awake at dusk and at night. If your pet does not sleep during the day, it is therefore experiencing stress.
The optimal temperature for mice is room temperature, so if you plan to keep them on the balcony, you should definitely insulate it.
Flying foxes and dogs eat fruits. However, they cannot be given the same foods all the time, as in nature they are accustomed to seasonal changes in fruits.
