One of the myths is that dogs and cats perceive the world in the same way as people. This is, of course, not true.

The truth is that dogs' normal senses are naturally supplemented by a heightened sense of smell and hearing.

Pictures of the surrounding world are much more voluminous than in the brain of an ordinary person.

Among other things, they have additional receptors, and because of them they navigate in the dark remarkably well.

Of course, their excellent sense of smell comes to their aid, creating a three-dimensional image in the animal's brain where for us at night there is nothing but a cacophony of different smells.
