There are several effective ways to stop a dog from attacking cats.
First, the dog must know who its owner is. Therefore, the first thing you need to do is teach the dog a set of basic commands.
Among them is "Come!", which should be used immediately when the dog does not behave as it should. The dog should also respond to the commands "No!", "Place", "Stand".
Remember also that the animal senses your nervousness. When you see a cat, do not show any attention to it and just pass by.

Experts also recommend choosing quiet and calm places for walks, where you can practice previously learned commands and where the risk of meeting another animal is reduced.
