In connection with this, ornithologists decided to warn people about the danger of balloons for birds.
It is better to cancel the launch of hot air balloons, as they can harm birds. Details are reported by the Telegram channel of the Department of Nature Management and Environmental Protection of Moscow.
It is noted that birds, seeing the remains of the balls on the ground, may mistake them for edible food. Inexperienced birds may also eat plastic particles.
According to the channel, birds living on or near water may be affected. Among them may be ducklings or other unaware chicks.
It is added that soon in Moscow, chicks of various birds will begin to fly, including coots, goldeneyes, mallards, and moorhens. They will delight city residents and visitors with their appearance.
