Many pet owners wonder what to feed their dog.
In particular, is it worth giving vegetables to a predatory animal or is it better to refrain from this step.
Can you give vegetables to dogs
The first thing to answer is whether dogs need vegetables at all. And here the answer is definitely yes, since plant products contain essential vitamins and minerals.

However, every vegetable is different, and you shouldn't give your animal everything.
You can give your dog cucumbers and tomatoes, but make sure that the latter are ripe. Unripe tomatoes contain solanine, which is toxic to dogs.
You can also diversify your pet's diet with the help of:
- carrots;
- broccoli;
- pumpkins;
- sweet potatoes.
However, in the case of carrots, be sure to check whether your pet is allergic to this product.
In addition, carrots in large quantities can even contribute to obesity and cause diarrhea in dogs.
