The Biggest Cats in the World
Contrary to expectations, the palm of primacy in this top is not held by Maine Coons, although this breed will also be named here.
One of the largest cats is considered to be the Savannah. It is a hybrid of a domestic cat and a serval, an African predator. Cats of this breed can reach a weight of 10-15 kilograms and reach a height of up to 45 cm at the withers.
Maine Coons deservedly hold second place with their weight of up to 12 kilograms and height at the withers of up to 45 cm.
Another record holder is a rather rare breed called the Chausie. The cats originate from Ancient Egypt, are similar to the jungle cat and can weigh up to 15 kilograms.
The top also includes the Siberian cat and the Kurilian Bobtail, weighing up to 12 and 10 kilograms, respectively.
