Vegetable crops are considered extremely healthy.
However, not all cat owners know which vegetables their pets can eat and which ones are best avoided.
Why feed your cat vegetables
The fiber found in vegetables is not digestible.

Therefore, if your cat is overweight, adding vegetables to its diet will help bring its weight back to normal.
In addition, plant foods contain vitamins and nutrients.
The amount of vegetables that cats need to be given depends on their build. Slender cats need 5-10% of vegetables from their diet, and those who suffer from excess weight can be given up to 20%.
However, it is recommended to consult a veterinarian before doing so.
What vegetables can be given?
The following vegetable supplements to the diet are recommended for whiskered predators:
- fresh cucumbers, which are also a source of water;
- baked or boiled beets, which improve the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract;
- green;
- boiled broccoli, which contains vitamins B, C, K;
- boiled carrots, which are a source of fiber.
The following vegetables are contraindicated for cats
It is not recommended to feed carnivores avocados, eggplants, raw potatoes, as well as onions and garlic.
