Choosing the wrong cell

Hamsters are quite small pets. But this does not mean that you should choose a small cage for them.

Firstly, it should be able to easily accommodate everything you need.

Secondly, the pet should be comfortable in such a house and have enough space for activity.

It is also important to place the cage correctly. It should not be in a draft or in places where direct sunlight falls.

Places near sources of noise or strong odors are also a bad option.

Therefore, it is definitely not worth placing it in the kitchen, in the hallway, near windows or the TV.

It is necessary to ensure that nothing disturbs the pet or causes discomfort.

Use the wrong filler

The choice of filler for a rodent must also be approached responsibly.

In this case, you should not experiment and choose cat litter, rags or paper for hamsters.

Coniferous sawdust filler is also not suitable for hamsters.

In this situation, you can choose hay or wood pellets. Sawdust is also allowed, but with the exception of the species of trees mentioned above.

Giving the wrong food

The health of the rodent depends on nutrition. Therefore, it must be balanced and of high quality.

At the same time, hamsters should absolutely not be given certain foods.

This applies to some sweet and exotic fruits, dairy products and cabbage.
