What could be worse than chickens pecking at eggs that were supposed to go in the frying pan?

But there are two ways that will solve this problem.

Sometimes chickens can actually peck at eggs that they themselves laid a minute ago.

Experienced farmers use tricks to wean birds off this habit.

For the first option, you need to make salted dough balls and form them into something similar to eggs. They need to be placed in the chicken coop.

To make these balls, take ½ cup of water, a cup of flour and ½ cup of salt. Mix the ingredients and form an "egg".

After this, the product should lie at room temperature for 3-4 hours. It should dry out. Then you can use it.

The second method is even simpler. For this you will only need lard. But it should not be salted.

If chickens peck eggs, it means they don't have enough fat.

That's why pieces of lard are placed near their feeding trough.

The chickens begin to peck at this product little by little and stop destroying the eggs.
