Why are dogs afraid of the vacuum cleaner
As mentioned above, the main reason for fear is the loud noise emitted by the household appliance.
Dogs have much better hearing than humans, so the noise from a vacuum cleaner can be deafening to them.
The second reason is smell. Dogs also have a very strong sense of smell, so they can smell stale dust and other odors that they find unpleasant.
How to help a dog
First, you can gradually train your animal by rewarding it every time it does not attack or bark at the vacuum cleaner.
Secondly, when playing or spending time with your dog, you can turn on the noise of a vacuum cleaner in the background so that the dog gets used to it.
You can also resort to more radical measures, for example, sending the dog for a walk with the household while cleaning or locking it in another room.
