Expert of the online publication TUT NOVOSTI, designer Yulia Tychino spoke about the nuances of each option.

A glossy surface visually expands a small space, so it is a good option if the kitchen is small. A matte surface has the opposite effect.

But there is an important nuance. If the window faces south, it is better to choose a matte surface.

Often, gloss is off-putting because of the stains that constantly appear when touched.

But high-quality gloss is much easier to care for than a matte surface.

There are more expensive glossy facades with a special layer that protects against fingerprints. The marks actually "evaporate" from the surface.

The color of the kitchen plays an important role. For example, white gloss looks more expensive than white matte.

If we are talking about other colors, then matte better conveys their depth and does not distort them with unnecessary reflections.

It should also be noted that gloss is losing ground in the context of fashion.

More and more design solutions include matte surfaces.
