How to store caviar

Let's start with the fact that it is not possible to store red caviar in the refrigerator for a long time, since the temperature regime here is maintained at 0 to +5°C, and the optimal temperature for this delicacy is considered to be -2 to -6°C.

Caviar cannot be stored in an open tin can, as the metal gradually oxidizes. Therefore, it is recommended to transfer it to a glass container.

The product can be stored in glass for up to 1 month, provided that the container is airtight.

There is a way to preserve caviar in the freezer. If you freeze it correctly and then defrost it, it will not lose its taste.

Both glass and ceramic containers are suitable for this, but experts advise giving preference to plastic. It is best to do this in the quick freeze mode, and it is recommended to freeze small portions of the delicacy.

Defrosting must also be done correctly. To do this, the caviar is taken out of the freezer and placed in the refrigerator so that it defrosts for 12 hours.
