The country's government gave the corresponding order to the administration of the local energy company "Chernomorenergo".

Bganba specified that this is specifically about the winter period. At this time, Abkhazia wants to receive more electricity from Georgia.

In response, Sukhum promises to return the same volume of electricity in the spring and summer.

This will be possible due to the increase in production of the Inguri hydroelectric power station.

In addition, it was previously reported that Abkhazia wants to receive 327 million kilowatt-hours of electricity from the Russian Federation in 2025.

At the same time, Sukhum is counting on free supplies. Moscow has not yet given an answer.

Russia also did not respond to Abkhazia's request to unfreeze financial aid.

The government of the republic approached Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on this issue.

Bganba later stated that he had no contacts with his Russian colleagues on this matter.
