Emergencies Ministry Colonel Found with 250 Million Rubles, 50 Real Estate Properties, and 20 Cars

The Russian Prosecutor General's Office is demanding that almost all of the property of the Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for Krasnodar Krai be transferred to the state.

Colonel of the Internal Service Sergei Simonenko and his family ended up owning a large sum of money, dozens of real estate properties and a solid fleet of vehicles.

After the arrest of the high-ranking Emergencies Ministry official, an investigation was conducted. During the investigation, it was discovered that the officer and his family members had 250 million rubles in bank accounts, TASS reports.

In addition, more than 50 real estate objects were found. We are talking about both residential and office premises.

The Simonenko family's fleet consists of more than twenty cars. Among them were premium models - Zeekr, Lixiang L9, BMW X5 and X6.

At the current stage, all this property has been subject to a restriction in the form of a security seizure.

The lawsuit was filed by the Prosecutor General's Office, which demands that the colonel's money, real estate and cars be turned over to the state as having been acquired illegally.

In 2017, Simonenko's income was more than 1.1 million rubles. He indicated this amount in his tax return. His wife earned 3.1 million that year.

There was also talk about a small fleet of vehicles, consisting of a rare Soviet ZIM-12 (GAZ-12) and a foreign car Skoda.

The family's real estate included four plots of land, a couple of non-residential buildings and a house.
