The founder of the Russian Guild of Realtors, Konstantin Aprelev, stated that the cost of one home in the country will fall.
It is emphasized that the price drop will be expressed in the range of 15-20 percent.
In a conversation with the radio station “ Moscow Speaks ,” the expert noted: “The reason for such changes will be the closure of the preferential mortgage program at 8 percent per annum.”
In addition, as the analyst noted, the situation will be affected in the same way by the presence of high rates on market mortgages.
Assessing the situation
The expert added: “All this will lead to the volume of demand for housing purchases falling by almost half.”
Accordingly, as Aprelev pointed out, developers will have to lower prices in order to attract the attention of buyers.
According to the analyst, if previously 100 apartments were sold per month, now only 40-50 apartments will be sold.
The expert emphasized the fact that buyers do not want to use a mortgage at 20-22 percent, which is a predictable fact.
