The Russian Minister of Industry and Trade spoke about what awaits the domestic car market next year.
Anton Alikhanov stated that 2025 will not be easier for the Russian industry than 2024.
Sanction pressure on the car market and concerns will increase, TASS reports.

Because of this, the macroeconomic climate in Russia will change, the official emphasized.
There is already a certain decline in consumer demand for new cars.
This is happening alongside a reduction in lending volumes against the backdrop of a sharp increase in recycling fees.
Alikhanov pointed out that next year will not be easy, but the industry will have to adapt to rapidly changing realities.
The domestic auto industry has been set a goal for 2025 as part of the development strategy.
1.577 million units of new cars are expected to enter the domestic market.
1.3 million are passenger cars, slightly less than 100 thousand are light commercial vehicles.
As for production volumes, they have also been approved and are at a level of almost 1.1 million units.
But for now, Chinese manufacturers dominate the Russian market.
They quickly rose to the top after the departure of Western brands.
German manufacturers began to wind down their operations in the spring of 2022. The French, Koreans, and Japanese followed them.
