In Russia, gas stations have started losing money on gasoline sales

The analytical company OMT Consult has published information that Russian gas stations have begun to lose money on gasoline sales.

It is emphasized that for six weeks, gas stations have been selling AI-95 fuel at a loss.

OMT Consult experts commented on the situation as follows: “Losses averaged 1.57 rubles per liter,” as reported by the RBC agency.

It is indicated that the above result in 2024 is the worst.

Sales decline

Analysts noted that last year the situation demonstrated even more depressing dynamics.

Thus, according to calculations, in 2023, losses amounted to an average of three rubles.

Experts explained: “With the help of the sale of AI-92 gasoline and diesel fuel, filling stations remain in the black.”

It is reported that for the sales of the above-described raw materials, gas stations have a plus in the amount of 3.79 and 5.59 Russian rubles per liter, respectively.
